Since OHS is such a unique school that is aimed at providing an academic haven for talented and bright students, I think it would be wonderful to make connections with other similar schools around the world. I’m proposing to find other schools and collaborate with them to do different things, similar to a Sister Cities program.
I would hope that by the end of this school year we have established relationships with at least one other school if not more!
- Get in contact with schools and try to start a relationship.
- Particularly schools in China (for the Chinese class) and Italy (for the Latin class).
- I made contacts this past summer with the top ranked school in Beijing, China and could help start a relationship with this school as they are already connected to several others around the world.
- Try to organize exchange programs
- Create Pen Pal program
- Host Centra/Skype conferences (if possible) to “meet” other students
